Device Preference Rec

A device preference record for the guide: what its site files use, what stays local and what your browser controls.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small values a website can ask a browser to retain and return with later requests. Browser storage such as localStorage can retain information without sending it automatically with each request. This page distinguishes those technologies from temporary page state, copied text and files you choose to download.

Storage in the guide files

The HTML, stylesheet and script supplied for this guide do not set cookies or write to localStorage or sessionStorage. They do not include analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party media embeds. The navigation menu and scroll reveals hold temporary display state while the page is open.

Browser preferences and cached files

The site reads your browser’s reduced-motion preference to avoid unnecessary animation. It does not save a separate motion preference. Your browser may cache HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images to improve loading, and may offer form recovery or autofill independently of the site script. You can manage these functions in your browser settings.

Hosting and additional site services

Hosting, security or a separately supplied site-wide preference manager may operate outside these static page files. If additional technologies are enabled, their purposes, storage names, durations and providers should be disclosed through the relevant service notice or preference interface. This record describes the guide’s own code and should not be read as a technical audit of infrastructure beyond it. Non-essential technologies should not be activated without any consent required by applicable law.

Your controls

You can inspect and remove site data using your browser’s privacy or developer tools. Blocking cookies does not prevent the supplied navigation, reading content or local draft generation from working. Clipboard access may require browser permission and a secure context; if it is unavailable, the tool selects the draft so you can copy it manually. Downloads are subject to your browser’s download settings.
